Temple’s 2012-2013 Schedule is Officially Complete.

Temple’s 2012-2013 schedule is officially set in stone, now we must play the waiting game.

Temple announced the Gotham Classic opponents and game times today, further completing the schedule for the 2012-2013 season.

Temple will host Alcorn State on Monday, December 17th and Canisius on Wednesday, December 19th. The Owls will then travel to Madison Square Garden for a nationally televised game against the Syracuse Orange on December 22nd. That matchup will be aired on ESPN2, one of thirteen nationally televised games for Temple during the 2012-2013 campaign.

Alcorn State went 10-22 last season, finishing seventh in the SWAC.

Canisius found even less success as the Golden Griffins managed only five wins, going a dreadful 5-25 last year.

Behind legendary head coach Jim Boeheim, Syracuse enjoyed one of the best seasons during the universities illistrous history, finishing 31-2, advancing all the way to the Elite 8.The Orange will be one of the most daunting tests for Temple this season.

The Owls will come back to the Liacouras Center to conclude the Gotham Classic when they host Detroit Mercy on Friday, December 28th.

Detroit should not be taken lightly. The Titans finished the 2011-2012 season with a 22-13 record, making it  to the NCAA tournament for the first time since 1999 before losing to the number two seeded Kansas Jay Hawks.

All times for home games have also been officially announced.
