Penn to play Delaware in NIT preseason tournament

The bracket for the 16 team NIT Season Tip-Off is set.  The tournament will begin on Monday, November 12 with Pittsburgh playing Fordham on ESPNU at 6 p.m. andCleveland State playing Bowling Green also at 6 p.m.

Penn will represent the City Six in the bracket and open up with a game against Delaware on November 12 at 9:30 p.m.  The other game of Penn’s quarter of the bracket is Virginia against Fairfield.  As part of the South region, opening round games and the region championship game will be played at the John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville,VA, home of the Virginia Cavaliers.

The semifinal games and championship game will be played at Madison Square Garden in New York City.  The championship game will air on ESPN at 4:30 p.m. on Friday November 23.  The consolation game for third place will precede the championship.
