La Salle players to wear throwback jerseys against PSU

La Salle will honor the 150th anniversary of the university by wearing the pictured throwback jersey for Wednesday’s game against Penn State.

PHILADELPHIA - To help celebrate the University’s 150th Anniversary, the La Salle men’s basketball team will sport throwback uniforms in its contest versus Penn State on Wednesday at the Palestra at 9 PM. The Under Armour uniforms are modeled after those worn by the 1968-69 team which boasted a 23-1 record under head coach Tom Gola. Similar uniforms were worn by teams in the early 1970s as well.

Additionally, the first 500 students in the door will receive a throwback Tom Gola player tee.
