Damion Lee wins CAA Co-Player of the Week honors

The Colonial Athletic Association has announced its weekly honors and Drexel sophomore guard Damion Lee won Co-Player of the Week honors.  He shares the weekly award with James Madison senior guard A.J. Davis.  This is the second time this season that Lee has won the award.

Lee’s week began with a career game in a win on the road against Old Dominion on Thursday night where he recorded a career high 34 points on an incredible 11-for-14 shooting and 7-for-8 from downtown.  The Calvert Hall product was also able to add 10 rebounds to give him his third double-double of the season.

Against Old Dominion, Lee put on an show in the first half going 9-for-9 from the field (6-for-6 from three-point range) for 24 points.  His eight points in a two minute stretched helped the Dragons jump out to a quick 11-2 lead, and they never looked back winning 81-77.

After the game, Bruiser Flint said simply on the radio on drexeldragons.com with Rob Brooks, “Offensively he was really good today.”

Lee also added a dozen points in the Dragons’ final regular season game of the year against North Carolina Wilmington on Saturday night at the DAC.
